vinocruz new location

Hello all! After many months of tirelessly searching for a new home for VinoCruz, we have finally closed the deal on a lease. We will be moving to the Soquel Village area on the corner of Soquel and Main. This is a great centralized location in Santa Cruz County and should allow us to do something that a lot of you have been asking for: a great outside seating area to enjoy the beautiful Santa Cruz weather!

This also happens to put us next to some great wineries, such as Bargetto, Soquel Vineyards, Wargen Wines and Hunter Hill!

While our main focus is still Wines of the Santa Cruz Mountains, we are going to be expanding to offer food, a few local beers on tap and a more comfortable experience to enjoy the amazing wines that Santa Cruz Mountains have to offer.

We are excited to finally have a location and will be updating everyone along the process.

Cheers!

-Jordan Iversen & Matt Schofield

Come see the art of Dana Weigand – Artist in Residence for June

June 10th, 2014 Posted by featured, news 0 thoughts on “Come see the art of Dana Weigand – Artist in Residence for June”

Please don’t miss seeing the power and  emotion of this artist’s work up close.  Her use of color, medium and technique make powerful and thoughtful images.  Dana’s work will be up until the end of June.

Dana says of her work:  “I want to let the paint do its work. The canvas gets subjected to many applications of paint using brush and knife. The canvas becomes a very active and physical space. Mark making techniques are employed to emphasize emotion and movement.  My mark making is accomplished by use palette knife, oil stick, charcoal, brush, brush end and pastel. The partnership between the artist and the viewer is, in this way, both spacious and intimate. My work has become as much about the paint as it is about subject matter. The paint takes me into a metaphysical space.”
